Momentum

There is nothing but the present. There is only the present moment. It’s impossible to get scorched in yesterday’s sun or to get drenched in tomorrow’s rain.

Each day is like life in miniature, each awakening in the morning is like a little birth. Yesterday is gone for good and tomorrow is an illusion. Stop and calm down. Tossed between the past and the future, you cannot stand firm where you are now.

Feel what is around you. Look at people, colours, objects, trees, wind and sea waves. Breathe in the fresh air. Don’t rush. Feel your steps as you go for a walk. Think of the last time you savoured every bite of your food and do it again.

Here and now, at this moment, have fun, laugh or be sad if you wish. Be in the moment, enjoy it and live in it. Feel its taste, smell and  emotion. Be naked for a moment. Be true. Firstly, to yourself.
